No, that would actually inhibit the learning process. The more you work at it, the easier it will become -- really! Please be patient with yourself.

I have known some string teachers who have used skinny pieces of colored tape to guide their students' fingers, as long as the tape can be easily removed eventually. However, part of playing the violin is learning where to place your fingers without have "fret lines" like a guitar. I would actually advise that you just keep practicing without tape. It, of course, will be frustrating, but it will make you less dependent in the long run.

My son's teacher often had removable tape on the fingerboard to help show beginning students the correct placement. But... only for the short while it takes to learn the correct fingering, apparently you cannot allow it to become a "crutch." But if it helps at the beginning...

no ,don't put tape on your violin. Make a chart on a piece of paper and mark all the notes on it.Pin the chart on the wall and refer to it if you get lost. You only need to mark the notes for the first position.

No! You'll make the violin look a bit awkward. Plus, what if you don't want them on later but can't remove them?

as a string teacher I haven't put tape on an instrument yet (I've found them in the wrong spot, too!!!) depending your age (I'm assuming adult) I think JUST for your first finger the A, E, B and F# BUT ABSOLUTELY NO MORE!!!
