My husband and I lived in a apartment in Southern California for a year and we moved out, and the apartment was very clean no damage. We moved to Arizona, and gave them our forwarding address. They told us the day of the inspection that we should be recieving our full deposit. In the state of California they have 21 days to give us our full deposit or what they took out of it. We recieved nothing. I have been calling them, and gave them two numbers they can reach me at, they never call me back. It's been over 21 days, nothing. I contacted Tentants Legal Center and they told me to sue them, I don't know how much to sue them for considering the cost to fly out back to California, getting a lawyer, etc... I need some help.

I called Tentants Legal Center they told me I would have to fly out to California for a small claims court.... How do I go about these legal papers? I already contacted the BBB but they told me to call the Tentants Legal Center.
