This guy is getting married for the second time but doesn't want to talk about it. Even in his first marriage he didn't tell anyone. Just hoping he will be happy.

In some ways I think he has doubts and doesn't want these to surface in a conversation or have anyone say anything negative. I wasn't too keen to discuss my marriage either as I found people were so negative about it and I was so happy I didn't want them bursting my bubble.

Some people don't like to tempt fate, although weddings should be a happy affair. The fact he isn't sharing this happy news with anyone could hide some deep fear of commitment altogether - talk to him.

Could depend on a number of things. He may not want to have to invite people, or as another responder wrote, he sadly may not be ready for it, as crazy as it sounds, and talking about it makes it a reality he has to deal with. When my husband and I got engaged, we didn't really want to talk to anyone about it because we knew we were planning a true elopement to Las Vegas. In not talking about it, we weren't forced to lie to anyone or pick and choose who to possibly have come. It wasn't meant to hurt or alienate anyone.

Could there be another reason they're getting married, such as is she pregnant?

Maybe he thinks it is uncool to be getting married. Maybe all of his male friends joke about marriage a lot. Who knows. If I was his intended than I wouldn't marry him!

He could be a private person.

I'm a woman and I don't like to talk about my wedding. It was simple and fabulous, but I used to have a roommate obsessed with weddings. She worked at a bridal store, bought a wedding dress about 3 years before she met her husband, and kept her sister's wedding album on hand--oh, and watched her sister's wedding video often. Believe me, I don't like to talk about weddings. I got all wedding-ed out.

Because talking about it makes it real and intimidating. For some people, constantly talking about their upcoming marriage is overwhelming and stifling; it can put them off the idea totally.

Somethings wrong, because when your getting married everyone talks about it....Its a happy moment and he should be walking around bragging...

What is there to talk about?
It's not like he's gonna brag about how pretty his dress is or anything.
Some guys are just very practical and private about these things.

He likes to keep his personal life close to the vest. Not everyone feels comfortable sharing.

Maybe is just one of those guys that doesn't get overly excited about anything...or maybe he really doesn't want to get married.
