Yeah I should know this ... anyway, it's in scientific notation.

1. (3.65 x 10^5 g.)(3.4 x 10^-3 g.) = ? (Don't forget significant figures ... yeah ... )

2. (4.9 x 10^3 g.)(1/3.5 x 10^-3 mL./g.) = ? (Remember it's grams times milliliters/grams.)

Number two, the second parantheses is one over three point five times ten to the negative three, if that makes sense. Thanks! :D

1)
3.65(10^5)(3.4)(10^-3) =
(365/100)(10^5)(34/10)(10^-3)=
(365)(34)(10^5)(10^-2)(10^-1)(10^-3) =
(365)(34)(10^-1) = (12410)(10^-1)=
1241 g^2
2)
(4.9)(10^3 g)([1/(3.5)(10^-3 ml/g)]=
(49)(10^2)(1/35(10^-4) (g)(ml/g) =
(7/5)(10^6) ml
= (1.4)10^6) ml
= 1400 liters
