I have a 1948 willys overland pickup with a chevy drive train it is NOT a four wheel drive and doesn't have power steering. i was wondering if it would be easier to put the body on a chevy frame and put a chevy 350 in it. or leave it on the original frame and put a chevy 350 in it??

I have put 350's under the hood of old willy's trucks before.

I think it certainly would be easier to bolt up an engine rather that modifying all the body mounts.

What's the matter L head 134 not enough power ? I feel your pain I had this engine in my 48 the only difference was mine was a 4 wheel drive

I since got rid of the truck but still have left over parts, including the old Willys Overland tailgate.

Find a old Chevrolet (full size 2dr.) Blazer complete rolling chassis with engine and transmission, You have to do some modifications no matter what.... this will be the easier way.
