Keep in mind San Antonio is 7th largest city in America but only the 30th largest metro-area. Austin, 2 &1/2 hours away, makes the area over 3 million though, larger than San Diego, Denver, Cleveland, St Louis.

I say Boston MA. Yeah, I know they got the Patriots. But, New Englanders need another team to be fans of who don't cheat.

Well I have the opinion that a city that had a franchise and lost it due to poor attendance - ie LA should never get another one.
Las Vegas is a problem in that the only way that they will probably get a team is to eliminate betting on that team which would mean that they would have to be out of all the Super Bowl bets etc.
Your picks.........Portland not enough population and too close to Seattle. Va Beach right between Charlotte, Washington and Baltimore so not enough support. San Antonio is a good pick I think, the Saints did well there. Orlando I would say no, too many distractions and that would be 4 Florida teams. I would suggest that Oklahoma City might be a good pick, they packed the house when the Hornets played their basketball games there and it is a football state.

For these reasons, San Antonio would be the best place out of the cities on the list:

- It was the "home" of the New Orleans Saints during most of the 2005 season.
- San Antonio already has a NFL ready facility (Alamodome)...no additonal construction needed (beyond possibly expanding seating capacity).
- San Antonio fans seem to support their team extremely well (although they only have 1 franchise at the moment).
- The Dallas Cowboys conducted some of their mini and training camps there.
- Has hosted numerous pre-season games.

No other city in the country (in my opinion) is more prepared and ready to have a NFL team than San Antonio. It would also make an interesting 3-way rivalry between Dallas and Houston if San Antonio had a team (similar to the NBA rivalry).

Don't see a team going to Vegas considering the NBA was hesitant on the Sacramento Kings being bought by a pair of brothers who own a resort casino in Vegas. They were approve after they pull the NBA of their betting boards. Portland has tried to lure baseball without any success and the previous owner of Minnesota was from San Antonio and did stage a preseason game there once. Never know how Jerry Jones would feel about having another team dip into his fan base. I would say Orlando as my choice

Portland, no. Virginia Beach, laughable. Las Vegas, maybe. San Antonio, no Texas already has 2 teams. Orlando, too close to Tampa Bay and Florida has 2 teams. Sacramento and San Jose are both within 11/2 hrs of Oakland and S.F. there would be 2 owners screaming bloody murder. Besides S.F. wants to move to Santa Clara which is practically in San Jose. Columbus, no. Ohio already has 2 teams. LA will probably get one but they will move within 5 years, LA has already proven they won't support a team. Twice.

I would like to see a team in Albuquerque, NM.... I don't live there now, but when I was a kid, we were stuck with the Cowboys and Broncos, and now the Cardinals... The city would embrace an NFL team and could use the added income...

San Antonio would be my 2nd choice, as they could handle it as well... Their NBA franchise has always been decent.

This is a good question. Its a tough one though. I would love to see an NFL team in Las Vegas above all. I think it would thrive there. Portland would probably be my second pick but all are decent answers. I would put Columbus, Orlando and the California teams at the bottom of the list.

Yes, Portland because Seattle needs a better rival than SF and AZ.

San Antonio is the largest city without an NFL team, so they should have one also

Vegas and Columbus......LV would get it's fan base from those visiting Vegas and also has a huge population too be able to pay off a stadium.

Columbus has always been known for awesome college tailgates and sold-out games....with several colleges in the city there would be thousands who would reguarly go to games at home.

Portland or San Antonio. They have good populations and would support a team. Besides they would have other teams in the same general are that might support new interesting rivalries ( San Antonio- Dallas/Houston, Portland- Seattle/ San Francisco).
