No, science is the study of nature. Nature is the thing being studied, but that study is a human invention.

I do agree with Curiosity being the mother of science.

In a way, yes. Science is, after all, the study of nature. At times its behaviour is predictable, at other times it is not. Scientists observe nature closely and come to their conclusions.
In this sense, nature has given birth to science, and may be called the mother of science.
While on this subject, I came across a very interesting small book titled Nature, The Mother of Invention. I forget the author, but it's a Penguin publication. It's about how scientists and engineers have borrowed ideas from nature to make things we use everyday and take almost for granted. It makes very interesting reading. I suggest you check it out at your local library.
You may also find many articles on the same line if you care to google. Good luck and have fun.

Of course, nature is the mother of all the sciences. Whatever is happening around us, is part of science. Its observation, analysis and interpretation requires complete understanding of the sciences.
