A few friends always wipe it down with disinfectant wipes before taking off. I have never done it myself - although i would never consider licking it either....you?

I have a trolley mate in the seat for my baby son so he cant touch the trolley. And i have a hand sanitiser in my bag i use that after. It might sound crazy but they did a study on the germs and if you knew you would do the same. I think licking a trolley would be like licking your shoe after standing near a mens urinal.

Yes, I do wipe down the trolley(or shopping cart for some of you) with disinfectant whenever I can. Most stores provide the whipes at the entrance. If they don't I use hand sanitizer the moment I get back to the car. I'm not a germ freak by any means but I had a friend's child get EXTREMLY ill from touching the handle and then putting her hands in her mouth. (As children do)
That was all I needed to start doing it. Plus think of all the types of nasty hands that touch those things!

Oh I don't know, I like a good trolley lick every now and again! ;-)
No, seriously, I never wipe trolleys down but equally I always wash my hands as soon as I get home. I'm not really into disinfecting everything I touch as I've done just fine for 31 years without. My friends are total wipe-aholics though.

Yes, the store where I shop has disposable wipes in a can by the door and I use it when I choose what to shop with. I would never consider licking it, of course, but I have wiped my face and adjusted my hair and that probably brings germs close enough.

I assume you mean shopping cart? Anyway if I had a baby I would wipe it with disinfectant, but since it's just me I just use it and wash my hands later.

You mean a shopping cart? Yeah, I do if I have to push it. If my brother is going grocery shopping with me, he's the one to push the cart, since I'd rather not touch it. Just the thought of what could have been on peoples' hands when they touched it is so gross! I guess I'm a bit of a germaphobe...

the whole trolley or just the bar...id never think of doing it but i dont think i'd end up sucking on my fingers or licking my palms whilst out shopping.x.

I lick it first to get it nice and moist then wipe it and dry it
