Barry should absolutely without doubt keep his place. He has assisted to 3 of the 6 goals. his passing was excellent simple when needed and sublime at times, the link play with gerrard was fantastic, the defensive duties were never forgotten and 1 inparticular interception saved a goal, and you are right if he played for one of the top four people would be sayin he is world class.
12,000 Holte enders have known for several years now he is good enough for england. But this season in particular under O'neil he had been absolutley brilliant, The villa skipper was inspirational against chelsea.
ps Happy b day

Firstly, Happy Birthday!
Yes, I think that Barry warrants a place in the first team now, at least until someone else can prove they can do a better job for England.
He has proved to be a revelation over these past two games.
It is also worth mentioning that Heskey, Wright - Phillips, and Micah Richards have also proved to be very competent players at international level.
I hope that McClaren will stand by his words; when he said that the players have to earn their shirts, because I really believe that Beckham, Rooney, Neville, and especially Lampard should be left on the bench until further notice.
Well Done England.
Well Done Scotland.
& Have A Very Happy Birthday Nikkicy!

Happy birthday :D
I was surprised by just HOW well Gareth Barry played, and also just how well he forged an understanding with Gerrard. He was my choice for MOTM (although great to see Michael Owen regaining sharpness).
I'm a big fan of Owen Hargreaves but I have to say he wouldn't be in my 1st XI at the moment.
VERY refreshing to see an England midfield working together SO effectively.

Not only Barry, but everyone else should keep their place too! Finally we look like we may have found 11 individuals that actually play well together as a team. And it's good TEAMS that win games, not good individuals! Sorry to the pre-madonnas who think they're guaranteed a place despite constantly turning out performances that range from mediocre to abysmal, but they are gonna have to settle for warming the bench for a while.
And a very happy birthday to you as well my love xxx

Happy birthday! You had a good present - England won.
Barry was impressive. You have to give him a chance now and let him play at that level again. IF he continues to play likethat one of the top four here or even one of the Italian or spanish etc top teams may come knocking for him
Good luck to him

I find it amazing that Michael Carrick didn't even make the Bench for both games
In my opinion he is 1st choice For the role behind Gerrard he brought the best out of Scholes & rarely has a bad game but gets little credit
Barry has done well but the opisition wasn't the greatest he should remain in the squad

i don't comprehend. i'm an atheist yet i think of faith is extremely like the people which create it and run it, a mixed bag. I agree it may be an progression if people could no longer entrench their positions, prejudices, and hostilities in the back of the belief they're surely sanctioned via a great being. the middle east as an occasion comes all the way down to the two factors asserting their god gave it to them and the positions grow to be intractable and unyielding to compromise. actually nonetheless conflicts are not over in simple terms faith. the middle east issues are additionally approximately components, oil, water rights, political manipulation, economics, etc. and people could nonetheless argue and conflict over those issues devoid of religion. i think of the biggest element is the way it stifles significant debate and compromise whilst people entrench their prejudices and desires because of the fact the dictates of a god. Homosexuality as an occasion, people use faith to justify legislating prejudice. non secular dictates nonetheless should not be legislated. in case you're non secular and don't prefer to be gay this is your freedom. It does not infringe your rights to allow others to make diverse alternatives. comparable with strict gender roles and discrimination. some people who're used to having it a definite way and don't prefer exchange and prefer having the top hand will in simple terms use faith to justify attempting to maintain a set they disagree with under their thumb. see you later as faith is very own and not administered via the government nonetheless it facilitates the area. Even devoid of religion i think of a few people could be homophobic or experience strict gender delineations have been what they needed individually. they only don't have the perfect to legislate their very own ideals limiting others freedoms and correct to make diverse alternatives on the foundation of non secular perception. If there's a compelling explanation why its so volatile different than for faith that it infringes different rights or hurts them then that's what must be debated. faith must be some thing people voluntarily shop on with for themselves yet do no longer rigidity on others and that should resolve assorted the difficulty.

Happy birthday.
But... Barry played well, but Hargreaves plays the position better. Start of the second half tonight we were in danger of being overun. If i was McClaren, though, i would consider using him one of the wings with Joe Cole (Wright-Phillips was alright and nippy, but his crossing has been poor)
