my friend is getting a new computer soon and he wants X1950PRO but i think he sould get a saphire. but he likes the HIS which i have never had so i dont know how their performance is but i have had 3 saphire's so i think that that one would be best. what do you all think.

HIS is a good brand. That model on the link has excellent cooling and throws the hot air from GPU out of the case. Excellent choice, should make his PC run cooler.

HD 2600 is DX10 BUT SLOWER than X1950 Pro.

Go with one of the 1950s if you have XP and DX9. 2600 if you have Vista and DX10. The 1950s are faster because of the 256bit memory bus versus the 128bit for the 2600 but they wont run DX10.

I have the Saphire X1900GT and never had any problems, hence I vouch for Saphire.

This will answer all of your problems ever... as in comparing video cards.. the one on top of the chart are the better ones.. the bottom are worse.. the ones adjacent are of practically equal
