Could I just put my holiday money in the bank and withdraw it when I'm in Greece? or will I have to change it in to Euros before I go?

No Royal Bank of Scotland ATM's but you can ust any ATM anyway so in theory, yea it would work, however, check out if your bank will be charging you for conversion!

Old know all has just about answered your question .unless your going off the beaten track you shouldn't have any trouble using cash machines .
The only thing I would suggest is that you take a small amount of euros with you from the UK so that you instantly have some and don't have to go hunting around straight away for a cash machine ,also don't forget the reverse to keep some sterling for the return home .You may need it on the plane coming home as they don't all take euros .
I always try to really on a mix of having some sterling ,some euros and my debit/credit card just in case i lose one and don't forget to keep a note of your bank emergency number in case you do lose your card .

I think there aren't any Bank machines of the Royal Bank of Scotland in Greece.You can use your Mastecard or Visa in Greek ATMs too

You can use your debit card in Greek ATMs. You will get a commercial exchange rate and your bank will make a charge. That's still going to be cheaper than buying Euro notes in the UK.
If you open a flexaccount with Nationwide, you can withdraw cash with no charges.

No machines. If your card is also Visa or Mastercard, you can get money from other banks' machines. I am not sure if you can do it with a simple debit card. Ask your bank.

'Old know all' is spot on excellent advice. Just make sure that your RBS card has a Visa or Mastercard logo.

If your card has a VISA logo...You can use it almost anywhere.
