I'll tell you why I'm asking so maybe my question will make better sense.

We have rented a vacation cabin, which contains two full sized beds. My significant other and I have talked about pushing them together to make one big bed so we can sleep more comfortably together. Since we have to supply our own linens for the stay at the vacation cabin, I wanted to see if I could push the full sized beds together and use my king sized sheets from home to make the beds. I thought that the king sized sheets would hold the beds together, and it would also keep me from having to purchase two sets of full sized sheets as we do not own a full sized bed.

No. They would be wider than a king size bed. A double, (full size) bed is 54" wide and a king size bed is 76" wide. They are also different in length, a double is 75" long and a king is 80" long. Although you can take your king size flat sheets and just use them to cover the bed, instead of fitted, they can be tucked in depending on what size the thickness if of the mattress at the cabin. King size sheets are normally 108" wide, but some mfg.s, make them 102". So just take a couple of the flat sheets to use instead of the fitted ones.

Two twin mattresses do NOT equal a king. Twin beds measure 39" wide x 75" in length and a standard king measures 76" wide and 80" in length. A king mattress just won't fit right on a couple of twin box springs....additionally, the springs won't line up properly and you'll discover that you won't have the support you need for a good night sleep. Fulls incidentally measure 54" x 75" and queens are 60" x 80". Hope this straightens out the confusion :)

No. I replaced my waterbed mattress with an air mattress and Coleman sells Kingsize mattress as 2 twin size mattresses. They are also shorter than a King.

Yes...they are the same size as a king bed. I don't think your sheet will hold the mattresses together though...I've used nylon straps in the past and it worked great...have fun!!
