does anyone know when the re-release of Poltergeist in the theaters will be?? I saw a short preview in the coming attractions, but I didnt see when..

i seent he preview to
October 4............... when Poltergeist comes back into the theaters for one night only. There will also be a 15minute thing about real poltergeist included with the film.

Poltergeist 25th Year Anniversary is gonna be released on DVD October 9th, 2007. The Cinemark movie theatre franchise is gonna release Poltergeist in limited movie theatres. I'm in Dallas, and Dallas Observer is reporting to celebrate the 25th Anniversary, the week of Oct 26th through Nov 4th.

I don't think they are. It's going to be re-released (again) on DVD this October. It's a good film (reminds me a lot of the first house I grew up in), I own one copy, so I'm probably not going to buy the new one.

There's no info on imdb as of yet. I'd suggest looking there from time to time and checking in on Ain't It Cool News, too.
