I agree with Sharpie. Thats what i did. I just handed her the note. I couldnt bare the thought of telling her face to face.

You should just confront her about it in private. Remember, your mom went through the exact same thing when she was your age with your Grandma. Just go up to her and say, "Mom, I got my period."
If you don't feel comfortable confronting her about it then just ask her to take you to the drugstore for some shampoo or nail polish or something. Once you get there, grab a box of pads or tampons and just hand them to her. She should get the hint. (: Best of luck!

your mom should be the easiest person to tell anything to..just say hey mom i stated my period shell totally be happy cuz your growing up dont be shy about it..its perfectly normal now go get some pads... :)

trust me the soon the better...it will help later on with pains or mood swings. I just told her that i need pads when she asked me why i told her i became a little woman....she was happy and so will yours.... shes been there too so don't worry even if it a little embarrassing.

just go be like "mom i got my period.." i remember feel the same way when i first started mine. but you have to tell her haha no matter how uncormfortable or embaressing it is.

dont worry about it and dont stress, every girl has gone through it .... do what i did, just ask her to buy pads cause you need them , that way you dont actually have to say it... and trust me she'll get it
