No. Just use a condom, because you could still get pregnant.

It will be messy, so do it in the shower, or put an old towel on the bed first.

Having sex while you are on your period is completely up to how comfortable you feel about it. Most women that I know prefer not to because it is not a very enjoyable time. If you are ok with having sex that is fine. You may feel a little more sensitive so take things slow. Stop if anything is uncomfortable for you. Guys usually do not mind as long as you let them know a head of time.

Just make sure your partner knows about it so he doesnt get freaked out if he sees blood or something and then you wont have to be embarrased about putting a towel down on the bed first. Theres nothing wrong with it though, for me I seem to get more out of it when I am on my period.

i agree with catsmeow.

but dont have sex if you're really sensitive (your vaginal area) during your period. while that COULD be a good thing, it could backfire and just be incredibly uncomfortable

It's just messy, but please use a condom.

Don't think that having sex on your period will prevent you from getting pregnant, because you can still get pregnant.
