Well, the NFC West, arguably the most open division for anybody to win. Seattle, San Francisco, St. Louis, and Arizona.
QB Seattle: Matt Hasselback; led team to superbowl
QB San Francisco: Alex Smith; 2005 #1 overrall pick, up and coming QB
QB St. Louis: Mark Bulger; the succeesion of the great Kurt Warner who has covered that position great.
QB Arizona: Matt Leinart; Led USC to the promise land multiple times, and is arguably the best QB to ever come out of USC.
4 of the best RB's
Arizona:Edgerrin James
San Francisco: Frank Gore
Seattle: Shaun Alexander
St Louis: Stephen Jackson.
Current Standings:
San Francisco: 1-0
Seattle: 1-0
St Louis: 0-1
Arizona: 0-1
I do belive two teams will make the playoffs this division.
My picks:
San Francisco 49ers: DIVISON WINNER
Seattle Seahawks: WILD CARD
Key reasons for 49ers:
Pro Bowler Nate Clements
SS Michael Lewis
LB Patrick Willis
LB Tully Banta Cain
Mightly improved recieving core. Yours?

Well up until Eli got hurt I was sure the East was taking both WC's this year. so I guess the 2nd WC is still up for grabs.

Seattle's got too many weapons and the winning experience, they've got what it takes to pull out the division, and probity even a bye at 10-6

Arizona's got what looks like on paper to be a great air game, but James is an old man, he's lost a step and not the colts running back anymore. Be happy with a 7-9 season

I love Alex Smith, I think this should be the year he lives up the the hype of being #1 overall, great O line good receivers a solid TE (he's on my fantasy team) can't go wrong there, and in a soft NFC a 9-7 will pull out the WC.

St Louis, still can't play outside, it's the dome's 8-8

Quite honestly. I'm a Charger fan, and don't really have a stake in any of the NFC matchups. But I would think in that division -- it's going to be the Seahawks at the end of the day. I think they are just a cut above the other three teams, and with Alexander... going to be really tough to overtake them.

Of the remaining three; I think it is anyone's game. At this point, I'm not getting a real sense that any of those three teams is truly better than the other two. We will see how it goes.

Even thought people might think the cardinals and 49ers are gonna have a break out year i still think the seahawks is going to win the division cause they are a veteran team with alot of talent with their RB QB and WRS with a GOOD OLINE

Yeah, sorry man, Seahawks are going to run away with the division...Niners are much improved but nowhere NEAR the Hawks.

Honestly the biggest difference is the defense. Kearney, Peterson, Tatupu, Trufant and many more for the Hawks will kepp teams under 17 points a game, and the offense is going to put up 30, easy.

Special teams is decent, but both the D-line and the O-line for the Hawks are extremely solid...Its won in the trenches.

Seahwks 12-4, Niners 9-7.

san fran is still rebuilding to get back to the level of greatness they once were at. arizona has a lot of great recievers and lienart may be able to pull it off. however their defense must step up. shaun alexanders slowing down and seattle doesnt have the depth to win the division but they might make the wild card. however the rams might have the best team in that division. theyve got the best rb, qb, and reciver in steven jackson, marc bulger, and torry holt, and their defense is decent enough that i think they might win the division.

I have to agree with you there. The 49ers will win it for the above mentioned reasons. They have a decent offense, but their defense is beginning to shape up. I see Nolan mimicking his old Ravens 3-4 D with the young corps he has in place now. Willis is a beast!

I truely believe the cardinals will win the division this year. Leinhart will have a break out year and with the 2 wrs he has will be great. Edge will be the edge of old and be used more in the passing game this year. Yes i hate giving edge a compliment since i am a colts fan but i just see him getting back to his old self

i agree with Sf winning the division its about time too, with all the defensive free agent pick ups and the drafting of patrick willis and joe staley, and the trade to get jackson, they're beefed up and ready to take the division

You're kidding right? Based on what I saw last week there is only one decent team in that division and the Seahawks will wrap it up in week 14.
