I went to the 5th Street Steakhouse in downtown Chico, CA. Best filet I've ever had, and they serve it with a 1 pound yukon gold baked potato, with tons of the stuffings. I went there with my folks and my (at the time) girlfriend. That place was amazing.

Man, Northstar, you're making me hungry just reading that posting. My grandmother is a great cook as well, I guess it missed a generation, because the best meals my mom ever prepared came out of a box. What's that cornbread casserole all about, sounds tasty!

My best dining experience was a month ago, actually. I was having lunch with my mom at the Tannersville Inn in the Pocono Mountains. We were seated next to the window in the green room. I really enjoyed watching the animals outside run and play. There were two ducks, two rabbits, a family of chickens (with chicks), and sparrows. I'm an animal-lover so I took real delight in that. Our meal was really good, too, as it always is, because the Tannersville Inn has terrific food. I had a burger and my mom had ziti.

My ideal meal would be shrimp stuffed with crabmeat, chicken fingers, and french fries. I got that at the Katfish Kitchen down in Texas when I was visiting my grandfather a couple of months ago. Shrimp and crab are some of my favorite foods.

Last week I went for a weekend in Mesquite, NV. I went to the Oasis Casino and ordered a steak. This was without a doubt the finest piece of meat I have ever tasted. It was caramelized nicely on the outside, tender and moist on the inside and full of flavor It came with a yellow sauce that I don't know the name of. My wife had a Fillet of equal quality.

This fabulous Cesar salad I had about 9 years ago at a restaurant in Windsor, Ontario.
I was sorry when I finished it that there was not more on the plate.
Man, it was good.
