hi y'all,

i live in a apt and the tub there is so porous that it looks dirty all the time...if anyone has any ideas that i could try please let me know...

use a stiff scrub brush on it with a bleach type cleaner, [ie comet]

I had the same issue. I used a very firm brush with comet bleach cleanser. use just enough water to make a paste and scrub like mad. I let it sit for 20 min to let the bleach work. Tub looks great now.

You might try toilet bowl cleaner. I have a sink that has cracks that turn black if I don't let it set with toilet bowl cleaner on it about once a month. Tilex Mold and Mildew might also do the trick, but, be warned, it'll take more than one application. It might take several cleanings to get it all out anyway. It's probably the product of years of dirt.
