My B/f gave me a diamond ring as a gift for x-mas. It was NOT an engagement ring, etc. By PA State law am I required to give the ring back if we break up?

The loophole is that he gave it to you as a Christmas gift. If he had just given it to you as an engagement ring then it would have only been yours to keep if you both went through with the marriage. Gifts are yours to keep regardless.

If it was a gift, then no, and even with engagement rings you can keep it if he ends the relationship. But some times it is just better to give it back and be done with them and anything that had to do with them.

hehehe I was like, what is "Pa Law" and what doesn't your pa have to do with your man giving you gifts....ok...its been a long day.

Gifts are just that gifts...you don't have to give them back. And asking for them back just makes a person look bad.

Gifts are gifts. They are not meant to be returned. They belong to the holder. The courts don't get involved in that.
