would the doctor be able to tell the difference in a 10 week fetus and a 14 week fetus?

so i can safely say that 2 ultrasounds, 2 weeks apart, by two diff doctors that had me both at the same age, are correct?

On a sonogram there is a lot of difference between 10 weeks and 14.

4 weeks makes a very big difference. Its not uncommon to have an error of a week or so, but a ultrasound is usually very accurate in determinig a baby's age

Yes. They can by doing measurements on the ultrasound. They call tell age by the size and stage of development.

I had to completely estimate when my last period was - by that, it was assumed I was 14 weeks along. The dr told me it felt more like 18 weeks - and he was right.

Yeah, I think most of them can tell.

yep...they can tell by the appearance and size of your fetus and hormone levels. crazier things hacve happened than a doctor being wrong, but they are usually correct.

Not without an ultrasound. If they do an ultrasound they can pinpoint it almost to the exact day of conception.

It's highly unlikely. If they have already done an u/s they would definitely be able to tell.

if they do an ultra sound they are very good at estimating the age.
