The only time I am happy is when I am with my 5 year old son.
Money or even my husband can not compare to that happiness.

My husband of course makes me happy. It's a shame that you guys can take such a question and turn it into something negative. I guess I should have just asked "What makes you happy most of all" Thanks alot

You can measure happiness because your brain produces dopamine when you're around your son. I don't know if you really want to go through the trouble of hooking yourself up to a machine in order to find out.

A much more practical (but way less accurate) way of measuring happiness is just to count how many times you smile in different situations.

Your son matters most, but you are short-changing yourself big time, and everyone else in your life if you make such a claim.

Money....sure...that's a total zero on the scale of happiness. Bit what about your husband?

You make it seem as tho your husband doesn't even count. HE helped you make that son you have that you now love so much!

What about others in your life?

He matters....what about your friends? What about a sunny day? What about family members....relatives....a sunny day....birds chirping?

The word is filled with things to admire and find beauty and happiness in, IF you have the eyes, ears, mind, heart, and soul to take them in.

Put on your Happy Helmet and point the Happy Stick at yourself.

Oh and make sure the Happy-o-Matic 2000 is turned on before you start. If the needle goes up, you're happy.

And imagine how loved and cherished your husband must feel. "Only my kid makes me happy. You don't do a thing for me." Wow. I got chills.

I wake up happy all the time...Its just to what degree...My family and my work all make me happy even though i may look tired and grumpy....Not sure i understand the question...There is no measurement for that kind of happiness.

truthfully. you are able to degree your individual happiness via comparing the way you experience now with the way you have felt interior the previous. an thrilling challenge you need to attempt is to checklist in a mag the way you experience (scale from a million-10 as an occasion) on a daily basis, or maybe including a short explanation for the huge style you chosen.

Agree! there is no happiness like the happiness felt when spending time with your child.
If more parents felt this way, there would be fewer F'd up kids in the world.

Melissa t I have three kids but i loved my wife more than the kids. I love my kids a whole bunch. Do any thing for them. But i love my wife more. Sure the kids bring happiness but the wife gives me more.

That is not happiness. That is pure JOY. Joy is a much stronger, more encompassing emotion than happiness.
