Was I the only one who saw this coming from the start?
It just seemed a little unfair that I was being dismissed as some sort of heartless jerk while everyone else was coughing up to the fund.
All I ever said was it doesn't feel right. It all seems like a sham, while I only pay for what I KNOW is genuine.
Let's see how it pans out. If they are guilty (which apparently is now doubtless), I hope they get plenty of time to reflect on their actions.
Also I'm wondering how everyone else feels now. Are there any McCann supporters left? If there are, you have my respect (you couldn't lose it) and I will gladly be a shoulder to cry on if you get proved wrong.

A question of logic for you:
If you don't want to read the question, why did you open it?
AND go on to answer it?
Surely you can't be satisfied with the 2 points if you had to make yourself look like a total pillock to get it.

I also see no motive. Perhaps an accident that shouldn't have happened?
But then why would they string it out like this?.....hmmmmmmmm....
That's one for the police, I guess.

How come you have had access to this "evidence" which apparently proves beyond a doubt that they are guilty? I haven't heard of any such thing. They're scratching around for stuff - the dna evidence from the car is not conclusive, they've admitted as much. The whole thing stinks of incompetence and laziness on behalf of the Portuguese police. They should still be looking for Madeleine.

Do we really know there is evidence against the McCanns though?? We don't know anything?? I am not sure why you say thier guilt is 'doubtless'. I have been at work all day and therefore havn't seen any news, but i just looked at BBC News, and it still seems to be the same old stuff. No real confirmation either way.
As far as I am aware, the fund is also being used sole to find Maddie. They certainly are not using it for their legal expenses.
I just think it is ridiculous to think, that they managed to wait 25 days, before disposing of 'the body', by which time half the worlds media was sitting on their doorstep and watching every move.
If, and this is a big if, IF, they did do anything, I can't believe that they waited all that time. It must have been 'done', before the police were even alerted.
I am just still clinging on to the hope that someone abducted her and is looking after her, and she will get found, safe & un harmed. I know it is now sadly a long shot, but we can but hope.

I always thought that there was something very off about the McCanns and it now appears that there is a case to answer. How strong or weak the evidence is against them I have no idea as I have not seen the police files!
I am trying to keep an open mind mainly because the business of the dna evidence in the hire car puzzles me very much. The police do need to find Madeleine'' body to really clinch this case.
As an interim measure I hope they run tests on the hair found in the car. I understand that it is possible to tell the difference between hair from a living person and hair from a dead one.

Oh crap, here we go again! Another 8 months to a year of media frenzy over a non-news item to distract the WHOLE freakin planet from the REAL news. Who even gives a damn? The world has REAL issues to deal with and NOW we're going to be flooded by thousands of NON-news stories about an insignificant petty kidnap/murder? Do you folks ahave any idea just exactly HOW stupid this kind of stuff really is? It's a freakin SMOKESCREEN, so someone in authority can pull another fast one while we're watching the McCann drama play out.

If this evidence is so strong why haven't the McCanns (either or both) been arrested and charged?
Because the evidence is flimsy and there are arguments either way. How could they have managed to hide, remove and dispose of body while under such strong media surveillance?
It just doesn't add up and its not fair to assume they are guilty on the basis of rumour and Chinese whispers.

I was really caught off guard when the news came out that there is now evidence that the McCann's were involved. I was shocked that parents would leave their young children alone to go out to eat, even if it was close. What I hope does not happen is that the money that was raised is not used to pay for their court costs.
You are very insightful!

No, I saw it from the start. The day my partner said 'Oh these poor parents' and I looked at the photo of Kate and said,
'There is more to this than meets the eye'
and hey presto.
Any supporters are entitled to their judgements. But respectfully so which they are not. No, those of us who have accused the parents must have seemed heartless but sometimes intuition is a strong gut thing.
I only ask for opinions on here to be respected and hate the abusive responses.
I would hate to say I told you so, because who wants to hear that parents killed their own child, it is horrific.

my word you dont belive in inoccent untill proven guilty i think something is wrong i am not sure what but you should now how the media blow things out of proportion ,and how gossip expands a strand of hair becomes a clump of hair! if blood was found in the car then thats it i hope they are not guilty after all the support they had ,the trust sympathy the tears, i think they would be the most hated pepole in the world .and they would deserve to be ,but before we hang them lets see how it pans out,

I'm probably wrong, but I don't see any motive. She was so beautiful,I can't imagine what could have happened to make her hurt that sweet baby. I think the police are just liiking no further, because they botched the crime scene, and have no where else to look and Mrs. McCann is the scape goat.
