I am trying to encourage my friend's he is 69 she is 66 to 'get on line' I think they would benefit having a home pc they are intellegent but a little bored with their lives am I doing the right thing?

Give it a go, but keep it simple to start with, just progress at their own speed. Some people of all ages have no interest in being online - others are addicts. Age need be no barrier....lol

Yes, you are trying to do a good thing, but
remember that people that old don't pick up
on new things easily.
I tried the same thing with some older neighbors
and a spare computer that was just hanging
around. - They just couldn't seem to get it.

Yes. I am trying to persuade my mum to get a lap top (she is 70 something). When I said she could download porn she nearly fainted....but seriously, I think it opens up so many doors and opportunities for everyone.

Let them have a go on your pc if you have one...show them the world and they will be hooked....then they'll have no time for you.....lol
