I think it should be against the law to have ANYTHING to do with Christmas in the shops until Dec. I takes up more and more of the year, every year... I love Christmas but lets keep it in its own month please.....Any one else agree?

Sasha...You have obviously not read 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens if you had you would know that Scrooge did NOT like Christmas, his family or giving gifts and having fun, all of which I love, so ...No I am not scrooge I am the opposite, in that I want Christmas reserved for families and fun and giving and playing party games, not for businesses to make huge amounts of money out of it, read the book before you try quoting.

I vote YAY!!

If you can't get your Christmas shopping done in the 24 days before Christmas Day ... then you're doing something really wrong. There's no reason to start seeing this stuff in October!!

not just that....some of us are just getting over the financial side from last Christmas and this adds to the stress of this Christmas, it's absolutely ridiculous putting things on the shelves in the middle of bloody September...i don't see the point in Christmas at all even if it is a religion thing, some people slave away all year to get money for Christmas only to pay it back for the next 9 months or so....if i didn't have kids there's no way i would celebrate Christmas, i think it's a waste of time and a waste of money....also you have to be nice to the ones you really cannot stand...nope...sorry i just think it's a complete waste....i am definitely NOT going out to do the shopping this year, i am gonna do it all online, i just have not got the patience for it any more....

Yes I too love xmas and am usually found in the shops the week before for my pressie shopping .The food is bought on xmas eve. I think it becomes very depressing as the three months of xmas and sorry no four months of xmas totally take over the space in the shops instead of having normal stocks .So go on make a stand and dont buy things till december then the shops wouldnt be so quick to fill the aisles with xmas stock.P.S. my tree goes up on the third week of dec thats so it doesnt all drop before xmas .

I totally agree!! Christmas comes earlier and earlier every year. But the time 25 December comes you are already fed up of Jingle Bells and Merry Xmas Evrybody.

PS mind you - I'll be in Australia this Christmas so that will be different!

I can see mid November, but it is ridiculous to see it out in October or before, by the time Christmas rolls around everyone is bored of it. So I agree with you, keep it closer to actually Christmas

OK we will all go in December to do our shopping, - and push and shove and try to buy stock that has just gone out of stock and wont be in till ... day after boxing day, no no no
that would be as bad as shopping during January sales, I need to buy soon and leave the shops in December well alone, sorry - I know I'm in the minority.

Absolutely. I hate going into Wal-Mart. Before Halloween is over, the Christmas stuff has invaded Lawn and Garden.
