Everybody gains with fair income tax rates for high earners. Fairer tax laws, which are always a good thing, and an improved economy. Exorbitant tax rates on wealthy people prevent that money from being used to invest in businesses (which generates jobs, local revenue and tax receipts) or being spent on expensive durable goods (providing jobs, etc)

There is no economic benefit to having high income tax rates for the top earners; it in fact harms the economy. The only thing it does is assuage the class hatred and class envy of some leftists.

I keep hearing politicians say they want a tax cut for the wealthy or middle class.Don't get me wrong, that's actually not a bad idea. But what about the poor.I'm not talking about the ones who don't have money to pay their bills but they have plenty of beer, cigarettes and dope kind of poor.I'm talking about the Americans that bust their a**es every day and barley make a living kind of poor.Bush actually wanted to increase minimum wage to $7.25/hr.May not be much but its a start. Maybe the tax cuts could make it possible. But wait. The Democrats blocked that bill too. Why? Because if they raise minimum wage then good luck raising taxes.Now. Who's really the selfish ones hear?

WOW,you sure sound like a typical liberal. So for the fact I don't want my taxes raised in order to support drug addicts and lazy f***s who don't want to crawl out of their mom's basement and get a job,I must be a communist.
Benefiting the lazy is what liberalism and communism have in common. Conservatives are far from that sweatheart.

Every time taxes has been cut in this country, the amount of revenue to the federal government goes up. Every time taxes are raised it goes down. And you may ask yourself why is that, simple. The less money people have to spend the less money the federal government can tax. When taxes are high people tend to hold on to their money, the rich, the middle class and the poor. When taxes are cut everyone benefits.

John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, John Edwards, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Areanna Huffington, Al Gore and Jessie Jackson are INFINITELY wealthier that George Bush. Why aren't they ever mentioned as rich Democrats who will gain from the same tax cuts that the Republicans are pushing for? And by the way, The "rich Republicans" want tax cuts for YOU too. The ever loving and caring Democrats only want to raise your taxes. How come no one ever mentions that ?

It's not tax cuts "for the wealthy" per se, it's tax cuts on capital gains. But because most people who have capital gains are wealthy, those who benefit from the cuts typically end up with more money to invest with and so fourth. Some say the outcome is good for the economy as a whole, and whether it is or not, is HAS contributed to the federal government's massive debt problem.

I wonder if they even notice the tax cuts or the tax raises. I mean if you are making millions of dollars I guess 20 percent of that is alot of money. I agree with a flat tax everyone pay equally but then rich people would still pay alot more so that sucks for them.

More investment in business, more jobs and a better economy.
Is that enough?
The rich get richer and the rest of us do better as a result.
Why complain about that?
Are you just plain jealous of someone being able to make more than you do?
If so, COMMUNISM is what you NEED----so MOVE to where you can live like a Communist!

I love it when people say tax cuts for the wealthy "screw the working class." The wealthy pay more in taxes every year than most people earn in a lifetime. They shoul dbe able to pay the same percentage as everyone else, not MORE because they got better jobs.
