When i sleep i can't sleep on my stomach or back (for obvious reasons, when i sleep on my stomach it hurts, and when i sleep on my back the weight of my stomach hurts like crazy too) So that leaves my hips. I sleep with a pillow under my stomach, but if i have a pillow between my knees it makes it worse. I wake up every two hours with my hip (that i'm laying on) hurting like crazy! THen i roll over and have to wake up an hour to two hours later to roll over again. Is this normal? I wake up aching every single morning.

my hips have spread and are all soft now, i feel like i could freakin' mold them or something.

i wake up every other hour to roll over.

This happened to me starting around 32 weeks. I can't say it gets better until you actually have the kid. I got one of those pregnancy pillows where you sleep in between two cushions. This way I could roll kind of at an angle on my back so I wasn't directly on my hip. Still, I didn't sleep that well for through my last trimester and I sleep even worse now that I have a baby :). Good luck and congrats!

This is something that we all are facing. I'm 30 weeks and I have started to have those aches and pains. Sleeping in my bed w/ my boyfriend is no longer in the question, so i now sleep on my couch. BEST SLEEP i have had in days. All you have to do is figure out what makes you comfortable (I have been sleeping sitting up, with pillows around me so my neck isn't hurting in the morning). I'm not sure how long this will last (For me or you if you decide to try it.), but for the past week its done wonders for me.

I feel your pain, I really do. I'm only about 18 weeks, and I have made an effort to sleep on my side for a long time since I have always been a back sleeper. I've never been extremely comfortable on my side, but now that I have to sleep on it, it gets really painful. I find that sometimes putting the pillow under your feet and elevating them slightly helps, but nothing helps to keep me sleeping through the night. We are all in the same boat!

Absolutely they say putting a pillow between your knees/thighs helps a little but I don't find it does much. You can take Tylenol for the pain. but it goes away right after you deliver within a few days so just hang on there. And it will get worse farther along you are - I'm 35 weeks at the moment and everyday is a little worse.

good luck

I hate to say it, but there really isn't much you can do but wait till you deliver. I went through the same thing, every hour or so I was waking in extreme pain and having to roll over only to go through it again in a couple hours. Hang in there you will have this baby before you know it.

Oh yes! It has been terrible for me as well. I have been experimenting with all sorts of pillow props all over my body to try to relieve the pain on my hips, but nothing has worked. If you figure something out, please share it with me! I can't sleep anymore, and my cat wont even lie at the foot of my bed for fear I might kick him with all my tossing and turning!

Ill wake up in the middle of the night and have to abandon my poor husband in bed so i can sleep sitting upright on the couch.. it seems to help....
