Today at school when I went to the bathroom I noticed that I was spotting a little bit. This was about 2 hours ago. I am 6 weeks pregnant. Is it normal to spot this early in the pregnancy? I had a appt yesterday and when he did the ultrasound he said everything looks absolutely normal. What is causing this? I have called him but he was busy and the nurse said to call back later to talk to him because when someone calls in about that we have to talk to the dr. So any help now would be nice but I will talk to my dr so dont even tell me to call my dr.

light spoting in early pregnancy is common, I have had it with all 3 of my pregnancies. If it gets heavier, or you pass clots you may be having a miscarrage. I would call your dr back, but if you are having a miscarrage there is nothing they can do to stop it. Good luck.

while i become 6 weeks pregnant i observed a splash for 4-5 days on and rancid. basically a splash shiny purple blood when I wiped. I had some gentle cramping too and my checklist stated it become o.ok. except i began passing clots or the soreness have been given severe. i'm now sixteen weeks and all is great. solid success and Congrats! i realize it is tough, yet attempt and relax.

Miscarriages usually occur around this time, so that may be what it is. I spotted at 7 weeks once, and it ended up being a miscarriage. Your appt wouldn't reveal that you were going to have one, they're pretty sudden.
