I live outside the norm because don't find ANY babies cute. They just look like unfinished people, and they have no appeal for me. If you at least find SOME cute, you can't be as bad as me I suppose.

Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder, to a mother a newborn child is the most precious being, whether the little thing is all reddish-purplish, wrinkled, swollen and sticky. C sections babies tend to be "prettier" since they don't get squeezed through the birth canal (my baby was just gorgeous mind you! LOL). But yes they are ugly. Would you tell a brand new mother that her baby looks like a old man who's been beaten with the ugly stick too long, even when it's most likely to be true, we are polite (and good liars) and can burp the typical "oh my, he is so cute" when what we really mean is "ewwwwww" If you feel like you need to be true to yourself, you can always rely on the good "Oh he looks just like his dad/mom/sis/bro/etc"
Good luck welcoming new babies!

You're not alone. I think only a few newborn babies are cute, a select few are very cute, and the rest are just so . . . uncute. Many women say to a baby, "oh she/he's soooooo cute!" so as not to hurt his/her mom's (or dad's) feelings. But on the bright side, babies' looks change once they start maturing. So, the ugliest newborn on the block might become the best looking toddler.

I find many babies cute but some (I don't know if you've watched knocked up or not when they're sitting in the waiting room) are not pretty at all. They can be hungry, but I don't have an unhappy baby at all. I think many babies are beautiful, but there are some (which I really hate to admit) that aren't cute at all. :) I was afraid when my baby came out she would be a baby from the coneheads when she came out. Her head looked like a cone when she came out. To me though they look the same when they're born for the most part.

My baby was born C-section, and even though she didn't have a cone-head, I was still like, "eeyoo, she kinda looks like an old man". I thought babies were supposed to be cute, so the mother looks at it and automatically wants to care for it. Sort of like a puppy. It took about 5 months until she started to look like my idea of what a baby should look like! At around that time, I started to notice that 9 out of 10 babies I'd see were actually uglier than her!
She's 4 years old now, and she's the cutest, sweetest little girl I could have ever wanted.

I agree with you. Most babys are ugly.
But once they loose the "newborn" look, then they start to get cute. But of course, every new mommy has the "cutest baby ever"
I've got friends who have had babies around the same time i had my son, and those babys were REALLY ugly! But your right, only a few do actually look cute. Just look at a hospital website with baby pics... most are UGLY and blobs.

I think some are not adorable cute - but to their parents they are. If they look unhappy or hungry, maybe they are. All they can do is make faces. I like big healthy babies. They are the cutest.

I don't think most babies are ugly, but let me tell you I have seen some whoppers out there, one that looks just like a monkey for example. Most babies are pretty funny looking, but of course all 3 of MINE were the cutest things ever born...lol.

no you sure are not! I always thought that brand newborns were sooo ugly and I was scared that I would find my own ugly...couldnt be farther from the truth. They were born c-section so they had perfect little heads and were so cute!
But older babies...i find generally all of them adorable, around 5 or 6 months babies are cute, chunky, and happy!

No. I think most babies are pretty cute. Some are ugly though, particularly newborns. I have to admit this question made me laugh though.
