Until he shows he can perform week-in-week-out for an entire season he is always going to be seen as a middle of the pack kind of QB. He typically starts the year hot and then falls apart down the stretch. Over the past two seasons he has thrown 29 TDs and 14 INTs the first half of the year and 19 TDs and 21 Ints the second half of the season.
Yeah, the Cowboys secondary has been mediocre at best the past few years and they were playing without their best corner, Terrence Newman, to boot this past Sunday.

Look at what he has done the last couple of years. He starts off hot like he did last week then about week 8 or 9 he just disappears! Eli is notorious for having horrible second half seasons so my answer is until he proves other wise and starts playing the entire season no he is not underrated

The problem with Manning is that everyone first compares him to his brother. He is never going to win that battle.
After that, he is seen as a cocky kid that has no leadership abilities. As a result, his own teammates don't trust or respect him. Have you heard the comments from Tiki Barber? Wow.
He is going to put up decent numbers but will never match the hype he had coming out of college. That and the lack of team support will always leave him subpar.

Playoff wins = 0. Nope, not underrated. Plus Dallas' pass defense sucks. They are gonna have to outscore everybody to win games this year and the are going to facing tougher defenses than the Giants.

first of all i've heard alot of good things about eli...but due to the fact his defense lacks strength...and ability to stop the run and pass he won't get mentioned much in the media b/c no defense equals no wins....lets just say there gonna be talking about all the defensive injurues and how bad the defense is playing throughout the season...
