Sonya Hartnett has written some really great YA books. They're not specifically murder mysteries but many have an element of mystery about them. I like her books because they don't have the typical "happy ever after" endings that a lot of YA books have. Here's a list of some of her books:
Sleeping Dogs
Wilful Blue
What the Birds See
Thursday's Child
Surrender
The above are all good but my fave is Sleeping Dogs. It's about a family (mother, father, five children) who run a caravan park. An artist comes to stay at their park and finds the family interesting and mysterious, especially the beautiful older daughter. He sets out to discover their "secret" and does so, to a shocking conclusion. I highly recommend it.
Happy reading to you! :-)

Mother of all Murder Mysteries And Then There Were None - Agitha Christie. I highly recommend you read it!
Others:
Depnding on your age or level of maturity, I would recommend you read 'The Pact'. It is a teen romance and mystery all in one! Jodi Picoult really knows how to write a novel =)
Even if you don't pick my answer as best, I still want you to read these books!
Happy Reading!

You should try books by Dorothy L Sayers. She writes murder mystery books set in the 1920s and 1930s, the hero is Lord Peter Wimsey. They are really good, the first one is called The Unpleasantness at the Bellona Club.

Check out Lurlene McDaniel (teen romance). She has a ton of books! I'd recommend specifically The Angels Trilogy (or something like that).
