the movie spawned english teens to form gangs and fight, also it was about how society attempts to rehabilitate criminals, and what happens when it goes horribly wrong. no time for the old in out ,just came to check the meter. it had england in the future adopting many russian words. i loved the movie myself and would tolchock anyone that would disagree

Stanley Kubrick may have made the movie, but it is Anthony Burgess' novel on which the movie is based (and done pretty accurately). I read the book about 15 years ago, and I seem to recall once knowing the meaning of the title, though I cannot now. I believe is sort of a metaphor for the highly desensitized and automated world in which the story takes place. I would suggest reading the novel, it is quite good.

A remarkable piece of work. Kubrick's sense of color is phenomenal. His use of the ultra-violent to desensitize the audience was a precursor to later films like Pulp Fiction. Just a terrific movie. If you haven't done so already, check out 2001 Space Odyssey and Dr. Strangelove.

Hard to say since I fell asleep 20 minutes into it and barely woke up in time for the end. But my impression was that it was boring and highly over rated.
UPDATE:
In thinking it over, it was 2001 A Space Odyssey I slept all the way through. I woke up a few times during Clockwork Orange. CO was no City of God (a movie I can almost guarantee you'll like).

A work of Art. It was so amazing, so horrifying that it got banned too years and years ago. Naturally back then, I wanted to see it!
What a story, what direction. Do you know that your man almost went blind in real life during that mad eye test in the rehab place?

It's like a twisted blade. Kinda dark and creepy and yet it has a very sharp point. Kubrick's best, I think.

Awesome awesome movie, if you haven't watched it, do so now. So creepy and odd, but greatness nonetheless.
