RUSH: Jill in Fort Worth, Texas, welcome to our program.

CALLER: Rush? Hi.

RUSH: Hi.

CALLER: I need your help real bad. My 17-year-old son is still in school, and he has this liberal teacher telling him that we're over there for oil. Can you help explain to him that she's lying?

RUSH: (sigh)

CALLER: (laugh) I know, you said it many times.

RUSH: He believes this is what you're saying.

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: We are in Iraq for oil?

CALLER: Exactly. I tried to tell him that. He comes back with these liberal, stupid comments, and I need help because I can't remember the stuff you've told me.

RUSH: Yeah.

CALLER: Help!

RUSH: One of the things you could tell your son is that if... Who does he think is after the oil? Does he think Bush and Cheney and Halliburton are after the oil?

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: Yeah.

CALLER: Of course.

RUSH: Obviously. You know what should concern you more than this is the literal dingleberry he's got for a teacher.

CALLER: Exactly.

RUSH: This teacher is an absolute imbecile.

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: She's an absolute imbecile. Here's what you need tell him. What's his first name?

CALLER: Randy.

RUSH: Randy?

CALLER: Mmm-hmm.

RUSH: You need to say, "Randy, if we were in the Middle East and in Iraq for oil, why don't we have it yet? We're the United States of America. Why are we worried about killing for it? Why don't we just go take the oil fields over there and take them? Why doesn't Halliburton own them? Why doesn't Bush own them? Why hasn't Bush quit? Why do we have to go to war, Randy, to get the oil in Iraq when we have military forces in Qatar (or "Cutter) and Saudi Arabia?"

CALLER: (Laughing.)

RUSH: "Why don't we just tell them, 'Hey, gang, your oil is ours'? What are they going to do to stop us? Why don't we tell the Kuwaitis -- who love us right now -- 'Hey, you know Saddam wanted your oil? Guess what? We're taking it'? If we were really that kind of country, Randy, we would be doing this all over the world. We would be going everywhere! If we want the oil so bad, how come we can't drill for our own in Alaska and in the Gulf of Mexico?" And then I would say to him -- and I'm not a parent, and you are, and I would say to him -- "Randy, I understand you're 17, but you are really disappointing me. You are smarter than this," and say, "Randy, our number one supplier of oil in the world is Canada, and they don't have a military that can defeat us. Why don't we just go get theirs?" But tell him he's disappointing you, and you'll have nothing more to do with him 'til he gets his mind right, like my dad did to me.

Rush is the real imbecile.

"The next time somebody says you can't think for yourself, here's what you tell them ..."
Rush Limbaugh

Rush might want to research his replies before he opens his moronic mouth.

Rush Limbaugh isn't a journalist, he is a speak exhibit host. He does not ought to hold any journalistic integrity seeing that he does not placed himself out to be whatever instead of an entertainer. Change the channel if you do not like him.

Obviously to say that the war is "for oil" is an oversimplification. Though only a fool would say that Iraq's oil resources were not considered in the planning of the invasion.

But as far as Rush's "arguments":

"Why don't we just tell them, 'Hey, gang, your oil is ours'? What are they going to do to stop us? Why don't we tell the Kuwaitis -- who love us right now -- 'Hey, you know Saddam wanted your oil?"

What are they going to do to stop us? What are they doing now to "stop us" from establishing peace and democracy in Iraq? Blowing up s**t is not that difficult. They could set the oil fields on fire, they could kill our civilian oil workers.

If a small % (according to the White House) of radicalized jihadists is holding us up in Iraq now, what will happen when the entire population, enraged that we are taking their oil, is radicalized and determined to kill soldiers?

This idiot has a show?

Believing Rusty (Rush) Limbaugh is like believing The National Enquirer or other supermarket tabloid. It is sensationalism for sensationalism sake. While it is fun to read or in this case hear, no one should take it seriously. Those that do need to get a life. I knew a lady who believed Pro Wrestling was real too. She even claimed that they wouldn't show it on TV if it werent true. Foolish old twit.

Yeah that teacher is stupid. Just like every other liberal freak whining about oil.

It never ceases to amaze me how pathetic their reasoning is. And then they hide behind their tin foil hats and say the bad guys are controlling all the information in the world - so nothing in disagreement with the hard left outlook can be trusted. Its like they've taken a leaf out of David Icke's proverbial book.

To an extent, he has a point. But what really bothers me is the last thing he advises. He tells her, basically, to tell her kid that her love is conditional on whether or not his political views match her own. That's preaching intolerance on a level that can't possibly serve that kid well in his future.

"United we stand, divided we fall" is a warning against just such intolerance. How can we be united if we all "have nothing to do" with those who don't agree with us?

Well, he has a point. Two wars for oil now and I'm wondering where's my oil? Haliburton, Bush and Cheney can't get rich in oil if they don't sell it to somebody first.

Nice... proves just how some conservatives' mindsets are.

"I love you as long as you believe what I do. If you change your view on anything, you mean nothing to me."

Very black and white, very all or nothing... very very cruel.
