because i am trying to show how common it is for black people to remain married to one partner... which is not working
but white people ussually do anyway

It's hard to think of any famous couples that have never been divorced full stop... black or white! I don't think divorce has anything to do with race, more the celebrity lifestyle!

How can you say "white people usually do stay together"? Dont you read any articles or statistics on white couples staying together. I dont think it matters what colour you are, if you are going to split up its because of circumstances not colour. Why havent you asked about the statistics for mixed-race marriages? Do they differ? Not in the slightest. In fact, when i worked and lived in Sheffield I knew more black couples still together than white couples (i am white, not that it makes any difference). It depends entirely on circumstances, personalities, sameness, many many things, but not colour.

I think Bill Cosby is still married. The guy running for president, will smith and Jada, martin luther king and his wife never divorced. btw i heard Denzel is getting a divorce. It doesn't matter if he cheated either, it matters that they got through it..
