If you haven't tried these already...

1. Cut down or preferably cut out caffeine. Most people drink much more caffeine than they realise and it will mess with your sleep patterns. At the very least, don't drink anything containing caffeine in the couple of hours before bed.

2. Don't watch TV or use the computer in the hour or so before you go to bed. You're better to unwind with a warm bath. If you stimulate your brain with new information before you try to sleep, it will be harder for it to shut down.

3. Keep a notebook and pen by your bed. If you wake up in the night and something is troubling you or going round and round in your head, write it down then try to go back to sleep.

4. Have a glass of milk and some turkey before bed. These release chemicals in your brain that encourage you to sleep.

5. Things like TVs, computers, bookshelves etc should be kept somewhere other than the bedroom, if possible. If you can keep your bedroom as your sleeping space rather than letting it be your work or entertainment space too, you'll sleep better because your brain will get used to the idea that when you're in that space, it's time to rest.

I suffer from broken sleep and have done for a long time.
Unsure where you are from but if in GB try Nytol one a night or Boots own brand i find they dont send you to sleep but when you are asleep they keep you asleep.

However not for long term use

Good Luck
