heere in dallas texas i am paying 1.64 per gallon. it's relatively cheper than most of the other part sof the country, however it's going up for everybody. it wil not reach 5 dollars per barrel. before that could happen there would be a government setting that would take effect. further, the government would release more of our national reserves to suffice. now currently we import a great portion of our oil. despite the constant drilling, etc, we still import the majority. however funny enough, it has been reported that ALASKA has enough oil to last the ENTIRE WORLD 100 years. And it has enough to last the UNITED STATES alone for 300 years. however because of environmental regulations in Alaska, we will not drill the majority of that oil.

That means my SUV will cost over $150 to fill up.

Oh! wait I never bought an SUV so it will only cost $50 to $60 to fill up. This is still way too much to pay for gas. Good thing my 401k since some of it is in oil.

Actually as soon as we stop using the more expensive summer blend for low ozone emissions that kick in every summer, it'll fall back under 2.25 and may even get back to 2bucks once the summer demand drops.
