25 year old Tennessee Walker, has lost a little weight this year I notice if I feed him hay he chews it a while then lets it drop out of his mouth. Not the problem with feeds or when he eats grass in the pasture. Could he need his teeth floated? It's been a year

This horse needs to have his teeth checked and floated by a vet or a dentist. Dropping hay or grain like that is a sign of dental problems that need to be addressed, for your horse's health and comfort. A horse which can't chew food properly will not get any benefit from it, and the animal will lose weight no matter how much it is fed. Such horses are also extremely vulnerable to colic and digestive problems. Please, for your dear old horse's sake, get the vet out and get him checked !!!

Hope this helps.
