LBCC has programs in allied health such as health technology, LVN and RN.

Otherwise, you can try health science and nursing programs at CSULB and CSU Dominguez Hills.

Assuming that you are referring to the medical side, there is no one class for people who want to work in an ER. It requires a minimum of 4 years to become a nurse with a college degree or two years without one. Long Beach City College has an RN program that takes four years to get an Associate Degree. Cerritos College also has a nursing program. For a Bachelor's, you would need to go to Cal State Long Beach and that will take six years.

If you are looking to work in the clerical side, any number of technical schools offer certificates in medical records. That is a much shorter route, taking as little as a few months but you will never get to work on patients, only take down their personal and financial information.
