Yeah I hear you. I remember being a teen and not even being able to contemplate old age, like it was in some other dimension and old people were aliens!!! Now I'm 50 and wondering how the heck I got here! BUT don't call me an old fart, all my brain wants to do is be a big kid. I think we are of an age where we are beyond embarrassment so go ahead and do what we want. I have had my hair pink, purple and with green and blue streaks. The only ones embarrassed were my family. Woo hoo!!! Bout time I got my own back.

What was the question?

Oh, yes. well it is all relative. Grandma's boobs were supported by her belt. She didn't shave her legs because her support hose didn't show the hair. She never wore pants but wore an apron to the store.
I've been a grandma for 19 years. I am sitting here with my spritelike pieces parts packed into blue jeans and a tee shirt. I took the hair off the legs with Nad's. I don't wear any stockings and I don't own even one apron. My hair has been dark blue and purple. Once it all goes white, I'll go for stripes.
Heck, yes. I am a kid. Locked in at 19 and not budging. C. :)!!

Yes, I clearly remember thinking anyone over 30 was old. I was 19 when I took my first "good" job that led to a career. The other employees were 32, 35, 39, 43. I thought they were ancient. The favorite and trendy saying at that time was "don't trust anyone over 30". oh my.

I sure do remember and that was a long time ago.(hey!still got my memory lol) Some days I feel young and others times I really feel old.Like the saying goes "age is just a number".Also I do wear the younger style of clothes and always said I will never wear those polyester pants, geesh,I hate that style.Going out with my daughter shopping or lunch make me feel a lot younger.love getting out there and not just sitting around the house doing nothing.Best to keep active, and do the things you like to do as long as you can.

When I was younger, an old fart was over 24.

Being a kid? We all are until we reach the finish line!

Of course, I was always the oldest one in my class because of a Dec birthday, I used to lord it over my classmates, older, wiser and smarter--now they all stuff it up my nose when my birthday hits first. So for 5 or 6 months I get to be the old fart on the block. Growin' old with a smile.

Well, I do remember that. I am not quite 60 yet. I have found that even though my age is up there, I still feel like I am 25 years old.

I am 60. On Memorial day this year, I was with 2 men I had met at the ceremony...one a VIET NAM/KOREAN WAR vet, the other a KOREAN WAR/WW2 vet. I'm an in-country Viet Nam vet. If you remember way back with the SURVIVOR show...one OLDER guy was a retired U.S. Navy SEAL named RUDY. He lives not far from me. One of the guys I was with watching the Memorial Day ceremony at the Veterans' Memorial here knows Rudy. Rudy came up and Ray introduced me and the other guy. "This here is Jim and the kid here is Ed." Ha!! At 60 I was a "KID"! ha ha

well, i'm only 28, but i think that your only as old as you feel. i see a lot of seniors out and about, and they are very young at heart. i don't look at age too much, just the person within. my husbands grandfather is 80 and he never slows down, always on the go, or working in the garden, or playing with his band. i feel so bad for him though, because his vision is starting to go now, and it's really hard on someone who has had perfect vision all their life and now they can't even drive themselves, thats the only thing really slowing him down, and i know it drives him crazy.
