First off...its really surprising nobody has said Vick so far.. I would have expected one of them from somebody.
Anyway my most overrated player...*Scrolls through his list*
. . . . . . . . . .Colston
I admit he had a huge breakout season last year...but so did a lot of players just bursting onto the scene. Colston came out of nowhere and nobody knew what to expect out of him. I love Brees and I love Bush, but Colston is slow. He has some semi decent hands, but he isn't anything to smile about.
He came on strong last year and put up some pretty decent numbers. I personally don't think he will ever repeat that first year.
He did have his 1000 yards and 8 touchdowns but that was when the 7th round pick out of Hofstra was something new to football. This year teams know about him, and are going to defend him well. He won't get anywhere near those numbers this year.
I choose Colston.
Good luck!!
Edit: Everybody has an honorable mention...and I found mine...After a bit of thinking, and a little answer from a friend..I found the answer.
Calvin Johnson. He is a rookie coming out of college and has proved nothing, yet guys are taking him with their 2nd round pick. Give me a break, he is a WR for the Lions. If history tells us anything, its that the Lions (outside of Roy Williams) can't draft WR worth crap. I know he had a good first week, but he is a rookie! There is no reason to be giving him as much love as people do until he starts to prove he can do it. Put him up against the DEN D or BAL D and lets see what he can really do.
Just a second thought.

I chose one for each position (sorry, I couldn't help myself). But, I think the biggest overrated "player" is actually a position - the Oakland defense. If I had to choose an actual player, I would concur on Branch.
QB - Marc Bulger - O-line is falling apart
RB - Steven Jackson - See Bulger - Won't get single-season yardage of 2500 that he predicted
WR - Deion Branch - Put a fork in him ... he's done
TE - Chris Cooley - Not Jason Campbell's favorite target after all
Oakland D - 17 points in the last quarter? To Detroit? At home? 'Nuff said.
K - Robby Gould - I might change my mind if the Bears ever score more than a field goal in a game

Cedric Benson. Although he's not a top RB, he's generally a second or third round pick. The guy's just not very good. By the end of the year, he'll either be splitting carries or possibly lose his starting job to Adrian Peterson. Chicago got rid of the wrong back.
Honorable Mention: Ronnie Brown

The most overrated fantasy football player is Shaun Alexander. His stats aren't very good. He only rushed for 800 yards last year. He won't do too much better this year.
Honorable Mention: Reggie Bush

Ronnie Brown.
He had a decent rookie year, but it wasn't great. Last year he put up horrible rushing numbers (even though his 4.2 ypc wasn't horrible). We have never seen this guy excel but people continue to draft him in round 2-4. Also, he plays on the Dolphins, who have probably the 2nd-3rd worst offense this year so Green will be forced to throw a lot and Brown will still get around 220 carries which is his career average.

Larry Johnson: I'm predicting that the Chiefs will have bad season this year. Larry won't produce like last year.
Damon Huard: I added him as a backup because of his 06 season stats but in 07 he has negative points.
Willis McGahee: Monday night's game against Cincy completely f*cked my team.

i would also have to go with a wr and say braylon edwards. even before the frye trade, he never had a qb to throw him the ball, and everyone had him ranked very high. i think in about 2 to 3 years the edwards-quinn connection will be worth alot of fantasy points but not right now.

Adam Vinatieri... He is a good kicker, but he is strictly over-rated in the fantasy sports game. Yes, he plays most of his games in a dome, but Neil Rackers (arizona kicker) does too and he had more points than Vinatieri last year.
