My coffee table is a little chipped on the edges, and my dining room table has been scratched by my cats. Idk if i shou djust buy a new dining room table or what, i put a cloth on it but it keeps being knocked off .do they sell stuff like that?

They do sell colored wood putty and filler for scratches and small dings. This doesn't get hard like regular wood filler and is only intended for scratches as for chips it won't work.

Filler is commonly used "On raw wood". These can be difficult to take stain, but can be painted succesfully.
To fill a finished wood product, it will never stain and match the original.
