I'm definitely going to see "Equus" in NYC. I flew from Dallas to London in May to see the play and the reason I did was not based upon seeing Dan nude, but because "Equus" has always been my favorite contemporary play since I first read it way back in 1973, and to have Dan, my favorite actor portraying the extremely challenging role of Alan Strang in my favorite play was simply an irresistable combination.
The nude scene is very essential to the whole context of the play and Dan and his actress co-star (don't know yet who that will be for the Broadway production) handle it very professionally. By the time you get to that scene, which is near the end of the play, you are so wrapped up in the story and characters that it's really no big deal.
In fact, Dan stripping off was the least shocking part of this play, which is extremely dark and disturbing on many levels. And, guess what - Dan looks like any other normal teenage boy - there were no surprises there, and the whole hoopla in the U.S. about the nude scene was just ridiculous. In England, an actor can legally strip off at age 16, so Dan found it the U.S. response quite amusing and puzzling.
Anyone who plans to see "Equus" just to see Dan nude is in for a rough ride. This play is the stuff of nightmares. Just watch the 1977 film version starring Richard Burton and Peter Firth. Dan's nude scene is only 10 minutes long; anyone who really wants to understand "Equus" should either see the film or purchase a copy of the play ahead of time. It's by Peter Shaffer.
I'm getting ready to teach an online course in "Equus" starting October 1st in preparation for the play coming to NYC. If anyone would like more information about joining the class (free), just write me at luna8824@gmail.com

I wont go to NTC just to see him naked thanks. I dont want to ruin that childhood image of Harry I had.
I havent seen the play so as to whether its great or not, well, I wouldnt know, but Im sure all those Daniel Radcliffe fans out there would sure think it is. Hell, they'd probably think any play is brilliant with a naked Harry in it.

Yes, I would go to see it.
Half because of Daniel and half out of general interest becuase so many people swear it's so good.
Personally, I reckon it MUST be good because I'm sure that reviewers would JUMP at the chance to knock "Harry Potter" if it was bad...
I mean come on...he's parading naked around a stage...it's like the paparazzi's dream, right?! So it must be really good for everyone to say it is!

you've gotten a greater powerful shot waiting outdoors of a thank you to realize enterprise devoid of fairly attempting. There are consistently crowds waiting formerly and after Broadway shows to make certain the stars pass in and out, however the crowds are probable to be smaller than those at stay with Regis and Kelly, so your probability is greater powerful. it may take a on an identical time as, nonetheless. Or, you need to purchase a cost ticket and notice him on degree. that's a solid play. I observed it years in the past with Matthew Broderick. individually, i would be seeing him Friday, on reveal screen in Harry Potter. i do no longer fairly care approximately seeing him in actual life. EDIT: "meet him"? that's some thing else completely. perchance you need to attempt to get in the back of the curtain passes to his practice, yet those are going to be VERY high priced and that i think of you may wish connections to even attempt.

Well I would go to NY just to see that. Personally I don't do plays. Seeing Daniel naked does not sound enticing to me in the least. he's just a child. I wouldn't go to get kicks of seeing him naked. It not a porn movie after all it's art, only kinky minds would go just to see that. And people please his name is not Harry, its Daniel, don't typecast him!
