i went to the support page and tried all the steps but it still wont work. could it be because the USB cord i am using is from my old printer, Dell Photo Printer 720? it works when i print pics and copy pics but it wont scan them, i keep getting errors. HELP!!

Hi. Almost all scanners will grab an image but you need to tell your machine where to store it. Most also have "Scan to application" as an option. This will format the image into one recognizable by MS Word, let's say. List some of the errors you are getting and I will try to track them down. You have my email.

call HP tech help. whether this is not any longer a stupid mistake like imporperly put in driving force or cartridge, the scanner interior the printer could be no solid. Im a copier tech and a printer is surely a mini simplified copier. If i had that venture id verify all application and connections then look at undesirable components.
