My favorite "real" word is 'compassion'. It has such a deep meaning, and whenever I think about it, I try to be more aware and considerate of others, which I think is a good thing.
My favorite "made up" word is 'fizzledee-turd'. Not really sure why, it's just fun to say!

Serendipity - not only does it sound cool, but it has a groovy meaning too: good luck in making unexpected and fortunate discoveries.
Word History: We are indebted to the English author Horace Walpole for the word serendipity, which he coined in one of the 3,000 or more letters on which his literary reputation primarily rests. In a letter of January 28, 1754, Walpole says that "this discovery, indeed, is almost of that kind which I call Serendipity, a very expressive word." Walpole formed the word on an old name for Sri Lanka, Serendip. He explained that this name was part of the title of "a silly fairy tale, called The Three Princes of Serendip: as their highnesses traveled, they were always making discoveries, by accidents and sagacity, of things which they were not in quest of...."

Happity is my favorite word because I made it up, my contribution to the English Language, and of course, it means a lot to me. Since happiness is elusive, I found a substitute, so in the meantime at least one can have happity!0!
Good luck!

What better than 'NONPLUS'. A word composed of two complete words, non and plus. It contradicts both by themselves but together it gives direction and meaning to anyone's life. To be, not upset, is a guide for anyone.

I'm not trying to be disrespectful here, but fart is definitely my favorite word. Every time I say it, or see/hear some one else say it, it almost always involves a smile or a laugh - how many other words can you say do that?

Right now, I'd have to say that "autumn" is a good word... It's that time of the year, where I live, where the seasons change and you can smell the weather...

compassion.
If more people in the world learned the meaning of it an brought it into their lives, the world would be a better place.
Understanding and tolerance tied for second place for the same reason
