I've had the occasional compliment in amongst the reams of violation notices. I may even have received one from you !!
You are the friendliest person on here though ;-)

Have just opened up my e-mail for contact from other users. I tend to try and inject a bit of humour in my answers unless it's a medical or Maddie question. So I get a lot of stick, Also get a lot of laughs. If this isn't fun why would I bother doing it. It's not as if it's a penance.

The fact that someone has taken the time to answer an inane question to keep the questioner happy, is in itself a compliment

I have had a few compliments and a few thank you's...
I have been told by others I gave them the answer they were looking for when they couldn't remember the answer, and I have been thanked for supplying the answer they never thought they would find...
I get lots of joy in doing so...

Oh yes. Tons of them. I was called 'death wish crazy' last week. Loads of you think I'm weird (I always take that as a compliment) and you apparently think I'm a nice person.
A few months ago, someone called me a rude bully .... I'm still trying to figure that one out but not worrying about it.

Yes, almost every day or two. Sharing on this platform, compliments and their detailed backgrounds, is difficult!

yes...i answered a question to a lady who was in a violent marriage and i really felt for her because i too was in one once...so i wrote her a private note and gave her some advice, the next day she wrote back saying thankyou and praised me for the good advice i gave her, we still contact each other to this day and have become good friends...we have actually met in person as she lived a few miles away from me...she's lovely...also she is now away from her violent spouse and is living a much happier life with her 2 children...it was her decision to leave him, i didn't encourage her to leave, she''d already made her mind up...also someone complimented me on my avatar saying my cat was cute.....he sure is....

Yes I have, it made me feel so good to know someone enjoyed my answer. He thanked me for being so kind and listening to him. He had gotten some pretty nasty responses.
Also whenever I get a best answer I always look to see if they gave me a comment. It makes my day if they do.

I had that happen to me once, a guy emailed me and said, "Your words are so beautiful" and I emailed back asking for an explination (I was flattered!) and never recieved one. It, too, made my night. I thought, Gosh someone in this world cares enough about something that I've said that they wanted to share it with me. *yipeee!*. :).
