My roof is leaking and I know it takes thousands of dollars to get a new roof (the whole roof needs replaced). Do you know if roofers let you make payments or do you have to pay for it all up front? (I live in Kokomo, IN if you can recommend anyone!)

Few companies accept payments. Larger companies often offer financing. Get at least 3 estimates from licensed and bonded companies. Ask for references and check them. Don't rely on the BBB to give correct info on companies. If the company is not a member, they will tilt their judgement or not comment at all.

Around here, in CA, you usually have to pay roofers up front. You should look them up in the phone book and just get estimates to see what's the better price. And maybe ask them if they will accept payments. Good luck!!
PS Just because they're the cheapest in price doesn't mean you should go to them. You get what you pay for. Look up in the BBB if any of the companys have reports on them that way you get your moneys worth.

If you check with your mortgage company sometimes you can get a low interest loan for fixing up your home. If you do get a loan make sure you check with your local or where they live there magistrate to see if they have a bad reputation .Another thing, You do not pay them all the money at the beginning, you pay half, and when the works done you pay the other half .

I am sure that you can find someone to make payments, or possobly take a loan to pay it. Is there any way that you can put a claim on your insurance for it? Wind damage, hail, etc! That could save you thousands!!!
