Understandably, a lot of us are answering ideologically.
I'm pretty sure that people who think that a world in which we're all responsible for ourselves individually don't think that's ideological, however.
I thought the question was more about outcomes than about methods.
The outcome I'd like most is peace. The absence of people killing each other would be a good start.
My next goal would be economic justice. The powerful would not be able to get wealthy at the expense of the weak, etc.
Third, I think we really need to clean up our environment. No more nuclear power, bring an end to coal, develop clean energy, switch organic or at least sustainable food and commodity production (and recycling), so that all our good work in the interest of peace and economic justice isn't washed away.
Fourth, I think an education rich in science, history and artistic expression - the opposite of the standardized testing model - would be the most rewarding for individuals and society.
Underlying all of these, a method toward the goals, would be simple respect for people as people. Not only "love your neighbor as yourself," but also treat the people of distant lands as you would have them treat you. Why do we value the life of a Minnesotan more than the life of a Mozambican? I don't know too many people from either location, but I don't think there's any humane reason to let Minnesotans starve so that Mozambicans can drive SUVs and live in 2500+ sf houses. Or the other way round.
Before your head explodes, I don't think this is possible. My vision requires people to act enlightened, and I don't see much evidence of that, frankly.
We could solve a lot of problems by moving toward those ideals - and maybe add in some other goals, as well.
Respect for cultural differences, protection of private property, government of the people... I'm all for them. They seem to span outcomes and methods, but they're all great goals, too.

One where you're rewarded for hard work and intelligent planning, where the brightest and the best govern, and where people can get a hand up in life and not a handout.
Roll back the clock 50 years when people had more respect for their neighbors, didn't believe in the right to have everything they saw on television, complained so much less, and didn't fall apart every time they experienced an uncomfortable moment.

I want a world where individual responsibility and personal choices determine who and what I can and will become. I want a federal gvt that protects the rights of that under the US Constitution while leaving other issues like education and whether or not to allow smoking or prostitution, up to the local communities that know what their citizens want. I want the rest of the world to wake up and realize how important it is to protect these basic rights as well and works in cooperation economically with all countries to provide the best marketplace so that we all benefit if we have a service or goods to provide or need.
I want a community that desires to help out their fellow individuals, not because the gvt is making them, but because they want their fellow human beings to succeed. I want parents involved in their childrens lives and education. I want cities to hold picnics and concerts in the parks so that neighbors can truly feel like they live in a community.
I want people to be able to practice their religion freely and feel free to express that religion, or lack of, without others trying to shut them down, but have a basic respect and decency twds people they disagree with.
I want a world where race and religion isnt even a consideration for anything.
I dont want a world where gvt tells me what I can or cant do with my money. I dont want a world where gvt thinks it can handle my affairs better than I could. I want a communitys citizens to see to the needs of those less fortunate without gvt having to step in.
If the republican party actually stood by its platform, then I would say that its agenda would lead to a lot this happening, at least in our own country. I just basically want personal responsibility combined with a society that fosters success based on that responsibility. I dont think gvt forcing a society to become a better place works. I also dont want to live in a society where there is no right and wrong and everything and anything goes. Cut taxes, limit the amount if involvement, esp with the fed gvt. Let local communities take more responsiblity for the everyday events of life like education and welfare programs, whether it be small local gvts or private charities. If we made people rely on themselves, their families, their friends, and their religions more than they relied on their gvts then we would have a closer knit, less judgemental, friendlier country.

A realistic world , with its share of successes and failures. In short , the one we have now . Paradise , heaven , Valhalla , peaches and cream are dreams .
Two hundred years ago life was back-breaking subsistence living . Before that, it was much worse. This is the best that the world has ever known . Far far from perfect- - - but not that bad either , and getting better as it goes.
Dreams are just that . We are very fortunate that dreams don't come true .

I wish we had a dictator. Not a mean, over-bearing, Hitler-esque dictator, but someone who knows what they are doing and someone who has the balls to actually fix things in this country without having to worry about which high-ranking officials won't support them next election.
Someone who will actually TRY to get immigration under control and put forward harsher punishments to those who do break the laws. This person will be able to step back and see that these people are stealing from honest, legal people and not give out money and benefits willy-nilly. You have to hold a real job in order to get money - that's the way it should be.
Someone who will also think about the younger, hard-working people of the country instead of all the AARP members.
Someone who will step back and say, "Is this war REALLY necessary or am I just trying to please others?"
Someone who will punish those who kill, rape, steal and lie - no matter what race, position in society, or how much money they have.
We need someone to take control of this country and have that person have the first, second and last say in anything they do. No more waiting years for a lousy bill to pass, no more waiting to see if the senate will veto, no more polls asking if the American people agree with this or that.
We need one person, one decision that reflects EVERY voice of this country.

I want to live in a world where there are two types of people:
smiberals, and smonservatives.... and they hate each other and give each other clever nicknames and snicker to their friends in their respective groups to each other and give each other high fives and tell each other "we zinged those smiberals!!!!!" or "those smonservatives are so stupid, they didn't even see that we insulted them!!!!"
Oh and there would be another people the "smintelligent and smobjective" who are tired of the other two groups and just laugh at them.
Paradise! I'd be away from all these liberals and conservatives then.

1) A world where humility, moderation and an internal feeling of peace are seen as the most desirable outcomes in one's life, whereas an accumulation of wealth is seen as a waste of one's time and energy.
2) I haven't been able to develop a "political ideology" that supports this wish entirely. Politics within a capitalist system tends to skew any vision of hope I have for our species.

I want to live in an adult society. What that means is, I want people to stop making excuses for their own stupid decisions. I want them to give some thought to important decisions in their lives, prior to making them. I want people to rely on themselves, their friends and family, and the charity of others, rather than expecting the gov't to help them. I want people to look within rather than blame others for their situation. I want people to plan for their futures. I want to hold people to these higher standards, and I want them to prosper economically, socially and emotionally because of this.
Now since this is a political question, I will ask you what political party most represents these views?
Democrats? Not by a long shot. To them, everyone except middle aged white males are victims of some sort or another, and must be helped by the gov't.
Republicans? Definitely closer, but still not there, especially over the last 7 or so years.
Libertarians? On the right track, but I find their national security views naive and dangerous.
Some blend of conservatism and libertarianism is just right.
