what do you think of the town and country minivans and does anyone know what year they came out with power sliding doors?

I don't recall what year. Probably what some of the other answerer's will give you that info. However you should be aware that should any of the automatic doors or automatic lift gate ever causes problems, You will have to take it in to a dealer to repair. Each door and the lift gate has it's own computer and several sensors and switches that HAVE to work in harmony with each other or that door/lift gate will default back to manual use only. It will also set a fault code for that malfunction.It uses the dealer's DRB (Drivability Readout Box) to Determine the problem and assists the technician in the repair. All tho they are nice, just thought you would like to know. As for as the van itself; I am driving my third one and think there among the best vehicles ever made!

I dont know what year the power doors came out, mine is a 2001 and I have dual power doore. They are awesome, but sometimes if you have something too close to the door it keeps reopening. It has lots of safety feature sinvolving the doors, but it makes me crazy that when I have it in park and then put it to drive the doors go back open, unless I keep it in park. I love the Town and Country!!

They came out with the new body styles in 2001. That would be the first year for the RS body.

2000 or 2001 i think, they are great vans, the stow and go versions are relly cool, dont see a whole lot of trouble but once they get over100,000 they develop some minor oil leaks
