For the past couple weeks (2-3), i've had lower abdominal pain, usually after i urinate, but not always, and sometimes it just hurts, even without urination. my urine is usually very dark gold/yellow, although today it had a tangerine-ish tint, and itnalways has a ton of tiny particles floating around in it, with a weird sometimes sweetish scent. it seems thicker/heavier than i think it should be. there is no burning during or after, it's more of a pelvic ache. i have had a uti once, and i definitely know what that feels like! =( but i'm wondering if i could have another, without the intense pain?

I was hospitalized for a UTI where I had no burning urination at all and then suddenly I was hit with the worst abdominal and back pain of my life. It kept getting worse and soon I was throwing up andhad to be brought to the emergency room. They put me on IV drip anitbiotics and saline (I was dehydrated). After I got out of the hospital they put me on cipro which is that atibiotic they use to treat Anthrax. If your urine has a bit of an orange tint, there could be blood in it. Drink a lot of water and see if it lightens it. Go to the doctor even if you don't want to cause alarm. I have a cyst on my ovary that sometimes provides me with the same abdominal and lower back discomfort as a UTI. Bottom line, you need to see a doctor.

First of all are you male or female? It does make a difference. Your anatomy may be the culprit. Also, if you have not been to the Dr. to have your urine tested how do you know if you have a UTI? Blood in the urine is not always from UTI's, could be something much worse, like bladder cancer, kidney reflux, etc. If it is a UTI ask your doctor for Ciproflaxin, works great for me, every time that I have had a UTI. Be sure and finish all med's as well. Best of luck. Be sure to go to the Doctor.

Absolutely. Those are all symptoms of a UTI. The burning (dysuria) is not always present. See you doctor. In the interim, increase your fluid intake, especially cranberry juice if possible. This will flush out the bacteria, if that is what is going on, as well as change the chemistry of your urine to make it less hospitable for germs. Good luck.
Sorry, I just read the STD comment above, so I had to edit my answer. Disregard that rubbish. Go the UTI route before worrying about an STD. That's not to say it isn't possible you have an STD, but it sounds WAY MORE like a UTI.

Yes, you could have a UTI, you need to go to the doctor. Even if it is not a UTI, it is still abnormal and needs to be checked out. You could have a pelvic inflammation.
Try to drink lots of water and cranberry juice for a couple of days. Stay away from carbonated, sugary, and acidic drinks. If it does not start to clear up, call a doctor and make an appt. I would anyway if I were you, since you have had this for more than a week.
Hope you feel better!

Upper UTI mostly does not hurt. There are different kinds of germs that cause UTI. It is better to have your urine culture to determine what the causing agent is, and then has sensitivity test for this particular agent. Hence you take the proper antibiotics.
Anyway, drinking plenty of water is not a bad idea for UTI.
Get well soon.

It is more likely you have an STD - or something else that is causing you to have blood in your urine. It is not a UTI. Plese get to a doctor ASAP.

Yes, you can.
The first UTI I had was excrutiating, but several others weren't bad at all. Sometimes they show up differently.
See your doc, and get treated.

Could be a bladder infection too. I get them all the time. Cranberry juice is my friend.
