My aim is to explore imagine and entertain. If I write a conventional story, I'l need a strong narrative drive. Think about genre: crime romance etc.... Challenge: interest my teacher who is female and adult.
I need to be able to introduce different styles of writing in my piece, news report, poem etc... no more that 5 sides long.

There needs to be a beginning which introduces a problem or dilemma, and then the tension needs to be brought up to a climax, where the biggest action happens in the story. Then soon after this there needs to be an ending where the readers questions are answered, and the problem could be resolved.

I would appreciate any help here, because I am seriously stuck for a good story line. Thanks again!
xx

The Gardener, you could start with the radio anouncing the weather. "Record heat and no rain again for this week"
Have the gardner mumble around in his shop trying to come up with a device that he could use to water Mrs. Browntree flowers since she will be back in a two weeks." Have him not be to smart and add a lot of humor. Your ending would be testing the device at the same time Mrs. Browntree comes home early.

Reluctant traveller you could have someone get on a train or plane and end up in the wrong destination and something happens or that they have a ill or dying freind/brother e.c.t at hopsital which they are desprate you reach and hence that causes questions for the reader 'will they be ok' and in the end they reach the hospital after going through some event. Could even have the train hijacked or something lol and maybe you could add a news report or newspaper report, in the middle or nearer the end about the situation. hope that helps

I'm a retired male teacher, but I'll give it a shot.
Reluctant traveller: Why reluctant ? Journey to where, and why? Called to give evidence in a trial (subpoena). Going to meet an ex for business/social reasons. Appearin in front of a judge for divorce proceedings (Could include love poems, report of wedding in paper, reasons for breakdown of marriage etc) Hope these are of some help.

Search each title on Google web and images for inspiration, take a walk outside, perhaps down the street or in your garden, glance at the titles on your bookshelf, phone a friend and discuss ideas with them. If I gave you a storyline it wouldn't be your work, would it? Look anywhere you can think of for inspiration - even browse through resolved questions on Yahoo! Answers. Inspiration is the key.

Hope this helped xx

The Harbour, what starts out as a day trip turns into something either tragic, heroic or maybe a bit shady. Involve the local people, the sea, fishing boats, the lifeboat etc. A bit of smuggling maybe. Good Luck.
