i have Compaq C563TU laptop and want to connect it to my TV so that I could use the TV as a display unit (monitor). The laptop has a 7 pin S-Video port so i bought a 7 pin S-Video converter and plugged it to the port.. But when I connected the video (RCA) jack to the TV and the other end to the converter and switched the TV to Video input there was no display!! sad.gif

What do I do? Did I miss anything??

Don't be sad, if your videocard driver has been installed properly , it will work but you have to do same settings. your tv out option is off.

Open control panel , then click the "display" then in display properties dialog box , select "settings" then "advance"

look for graphic properties you will be prompted if you want to use 2 monitors...settings differ in every model...

verify you're on the perfect television video enter. Press the enter button on your television or distant until you spot your laptop's sign. Your purely going to get a optimum determination of 640x480.
